Australia’s most fearless comedy icon, Austen Tayshus, comes to the Infamous Spiegel Tent at Westport Park, Port Macquarie for one night only on Wednesday 22 July.

Austen Tayshus remains one of the biggest names in Australian stand-up comedy, with a career spanning almost five decades. He first made national headlines in 1983 with his legendary single “Australiana”, which went to number one on the Australian charts and stayed there for 13 weeks, becoming the biggest-selling single in Australia that year.

Since then, Austen has continued to tour relentlessly across the country, building a reputation as one of Australia’s sharpest, most fearless and most unpredictable live comedy performers.

His stand-up is explosive, anarchic and unmistakably Australian. Expect razor-sharp wit, attitude, social observation and a live show that refuses to play by the rules.

Austen’s career has included numerous recordings, feature film and documentary appearances, as well as the career retrospective Austen Tayshus: Skin in the Game, which was sold to Foxtel in 2022.

Now, audiences in Port Macquarie have the chance to experience Austen Tayshus live inside the spectacular and intimate surrounds of the Infamous Spiegel Tent.
